  • Suitable for a 12 V DC, 6 W fan drawing approximately 0.5 A.
  • Installs in the positive lead between the DC adapter jack and the SOLAR/OFF/ADAPTER selector.
  • Designed to span two WAGO 221 two-conductor connectors.
  • Direct replacement for Littelfuse RUEF110, ordering number RF2624-000.
  • DigiKey part number: RUEF110HF-ND.
  • Not intended for AC mains power or circuits exceeding 30 V.
Technical highlights
  • Automatically resettable polymer PTC overcurrent protection.
  • 1.10 A hold current and 2.20 A trip current at 20°C.
  • Protects the adapter wiring, selector, thermostat and fan from sustained overcurrent.
  • Automatically returns to a low-resistance state after the fault is removed and the device cools.
  • Non-polarized radial leads simplify installation.
  • Compact design fits inside the solar aeration fan enclosure.
  • RoHS compliant, lead-free and halogen-free.

Installation and use
  1. Move the power selector to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the DC adapter and disconnect or completely cover the solar panel.
  3. Mount the two WAGO 221 connectors securely inside the enclosure.
  4. Insert one RUEF110 lead into each WAGO so the fuse spans the two connectors.
  5. Connect the DC adapter’s center-positive lead to the first WAGO.
  6. Connect the second WAGO to the selector’s ADAPTER throw.
  7. Close every WAGO lever and gently tug-test each connection.
  8. Keep the fuse body and exposed leads away from the metal enclosure, thermostat sensing bulb and other conductors.
  9. Keep the adapter, solar-panel and fan negatives on the separate common-negative connection.
  10. Reassemble and seal the enclosure before restoring power.

The fuse is non-polarized, so either lead may face the adapter. Do not bypass the fuse or install it in the negative return.

Important notes
  • The 1.10 A hold-current rating applies at 20°C and decreases as ambient temperature rises.
  • Approximate hold current is 0.75 A at 60°C, 0.67 A at 70°C and 0.57 A at 85°C.
  • Test the completed assembly at the highest expected enclosure temperature to confirm that normal fan operation does not cause nuisance tripping.
  • The RUEF110 is resettable but is not an on/off switch. Always disconnect both power sources before servicing.
  • The fuse may become warm while limiting a fault. Allow it to cool before handling.
  • Install only inside the protected enclosure; the fuse is not waterproof by itself.
  • Do not exceed 30 VDC.
  • Do not use with AC mains voltage.
  • Do not bypass the fuse or install it in the common-negative return.
