Installation and use

Disconnect the DC adapter, move the source selector to OFF, and completely cover the solar panel before opening the enclosure.

Remove the four solar-panel screws and gently release the silicone seal to access the fan compartment. Photograph the original fan orientation and wiring before disconnecting it.

Mount the replacement fan against the inside wall in the same orientation and airflow direction as the original. Insert the four bolts from the flange side using a long driver while holding the locknuts inside the enclosure. Start all four fasteners before tightening them evenly. Do not overtighten.

Reconnect red to positive and black to negative. Secure the wiring away from the fan blade, restore the solar-panel silicone seal, and test the fan before returning the system to service.

  • Always disconnect both power sources before opening the enclosure.
  • Completely cover the solar panel while servicing the system.
  • Match the original airflow direction before fastening the fan.
  • Red is positive (+); black is negative (−).
  • Do not overtighten the mounting bolts. Excessive force can distort the fan frame or enclosure flange.
  • Keep wiring clear of the fan blade and sharp edges.
  • Restore the solar panel’s silicone seal after service.
  • The SDM6038B/S specification indicates approximately 5.04 W nominal power.
  • The manufacturer specification sheet does not state a standalone IP rating. The fan is intended for protected installation inside the Durvela enclosure.
