Typical Application

The WAGO 221 Fuse Connector is installed inline on the positive (+) 12V DC supply between the electrical components, protecting the 12V waterproof aeration fan, capillary thermostat, and associated wiring from overcurrent conditions.

Installation and use
  1. Disconnect all power before making or modifying electrical connections.
  2. Strip approximately 11 mm (7/16 in) of insulation from each copper conductor.
  3. Lift the orange lever completely.
  4. Insert the stripped conductor until it bottoms out inside the connector.
  5. Close the lever firmly to clamp the conductor.
  6. Gently pull on each wire to verify it is securely retained.
  7. Confirm the conductor is fully inserted by viewing it through the transparent housing.
  8. Install the completed connection inside a suitable weather-resistant enclosure when used outdoors.
